Hankø Trip
The 29th to 31st of July I went to Hankø¸ to Espen Libæk’s (AKA Esplib) cabin to have a couple of beers. Heidi unfortunately could not join because of illness, but we managed to have some fun anyway…
(sorry for bad picture quality, they’re all taken with a mobile camera)
KML file for [Esplibhytta]
Open the file above in Google Earth to see where Esplib’s cabin is located. To the west you can see Hankø, the island where Ari Behn and Märtha Louise have their cabin on. Actually we could see their cabin from Esplib’s cabin (Espen’s cabin was located in the woods, but Espen had cut down all the trees for 1 km to be able to see Ari’s cabin from his (parent’s) cabin).
We met up at Smart Club at RÃ¥de to get rations for the trip. We also found a party pack containing everything needed for a successfull party! Look at the pic below to check out my cool party beer!
We also got some really cool pink party glasses!
The first day we tried out the smart club party pack of sausages we also bought on the grill. The beer tasted great and the weather was quite nice. It wasn’t beach-weather, but we could sit outside all evening eating, drinking and barbecuing, just like you are supposed to do all summer. After just 1 hour Espen had filled the outside table with empty bottles…
Skobba (see also theseblogentries) also spent quite some time perfecting his marshmellow frying technique… before taking the ferry over to Hankø (5 minutes across, check out the KML at the top)
The next day started out slow with Espen and Madsen playing Cycling Manager… and me having a bad headache. When I got better, Skobba and I tested his in-car computer’s navigation system and drove to Fredrikstad.
Also that day we tasted some beer and went to Hankø…
but this time Madsen (that’s Marita, not him on the picture, but it made a good illustration of beerness on the ferry berth …didn’t make it back with the last ferry and had to sleep on the ferry berth. Luckily he found a sleeping bag some homeless had lost
